At SRQ Tennis, we are committed to creating a positive, respectful, and disciplined environment for all our players. As our program continues to grow, we have noticed an increase in player interactions that need clearer guidelines. To ensure that every child receives the best experience possible, we are formally implementing and enforcing our Code of Respect starting today.

This Code of Respect outlines the core values we expect from our players:

Respect for Authority – Listening to coaches and being coachable.

Respect for Others – Treating fellow players with kindness and fairness.

Respect for Self – Maintaining a positive mindset and avoiding negative self-talk.

Respect for Rules – Following club policies and taking responsibility for actions.

Additionally, we have clear practice rules that include no swearing, no racket throwing, no disrespecting coaches, and no poor effort during drills. Players will now be held accountable with a progressive system of consequences, including verbal warnings, time-outs, and parent notifications if necessary.

This code has been posted at the courts, but with our recent growth and some players testing boundaries, we feel it’s important to take a stronger stance. We appreciate your support in reinforcing these values at home and ensuring that your child understands the expectations.

Please review the Code of Respect with your child, and if you have any questions, feel free to reach out.

Thank you for your continued support in making SRQ Tennis a place where all players can thrive!
